Ms. Cocolita is the black rose of burlesque. Living in lace and leather, this Latina Athena is sweet like cinnamon and like a fucking dream you’re living in.

Ms. Cocolita, formerly Ms. Coco Blu, is a national burlesque POC performer originally hailing from the Land of Enchantment, Taos, New Mexico. Ms. Coco now resides in Wilmington, DE as of April 2020. She first found herself in the Land of Enchantment in 2011 and began her burlesque story in 2012.

Coco has performed in various burlesque festivals and productions across the US. Starting in Taos to El Paso, Detroit to Savannah, and several gems in-between. 

In 2015, Cocolita founded Coco's Hen House of Burlesque, Taos’ only performing burlesque troupe at the time. Coco’s Hen House was the longest running burlesque production in Taos, NM before coming to an end in 2020. 

In 2018, Coco also founded the Taos School of Burlesque. For Coco, teaching the art of striptease has been extremely rewarding. Specializing in Burlesque 101, Chairwork, Floorwork, Fanwork, and Stage Presences.

As saddened as Coco was to put a halt on the small town burlesque scene of Taos, NM, she is eager about the new opportunities that await in the Northeast, and hopes the right person will pick up where she left off in Taos.
